Kano State House of Assembly yesterday confirmed four new nominees as commissioner designates.The Guardian leant that four political associates and nominees of former Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, were part of those appointed. Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, had last week forwarded the list to the lawmakers for screening and subsequent confirmation, less than five months to the expiration of the administration. Two of the nominees are, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Adamu, a university lecturer and former Chairman, Kura local council, Shehu Na-Allah Kura. Others were spokesman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Bashir Yahaya Karaye, and Muntari Ishaq, former Chairman Municipal council area. Meanwhile, the assembly has received over N205 billion as 2019 appropriation for the 44 council areas for approval.
